Our process, end to end
The 6 steps behind a managed profile
Every engagement moves through the same sequence, scoped to your location count and starting condition. Cleanup first, then the ongoing cadence, because posting weekly on a profile with the wrong category is polishing the wrong thing.
01Profile & Category Audit
A full baseline of every managed profile: primary and secondary categories, description accuracy, attribute completeness, photo quality, and current Map Pack position on the searches that matter. Category correction alone often produces a visible shift within 30 days, so it comes first, before any posting or review work begins.
02Duplicate Detection & Merges
A sweep for duplicate or competing profiles at each address: old listings from a previous owner, auto-generated stubs, or a second profile a past agency created. Each duplicate splits reviews and ranking signal, so we document them, file the merges with Google, and confirm the surviving profile inherits the review history.
03NAP & Citation Consistency
Name, address, and phone number checked against the major directories and data aggregators that feed Google's confidence in your listing. Mismatched suite numbers, legacy phone lines, and outdated business names get corrected at the source, because inconsistent citations quietly undercut the prominence signal everything else builds on.
04Review Velocity Program
A steady, policy-compliant review-request cadence built into how you already close jobs or appointments, whether that's email, SMS, or a QR code at point of service. Consistent velocity beats bursts: twenty reviews in one week then silence looks worse to Google's systems than four a week, sustained, month after month.
05Spam-Listing Watch
Ongoing monitoring of your local results for spam: keyword-stuffed business names, virtual-office fronts, and outright fake listings crowding the Map Pack. Each one gets documented and reported through Google's redressal process, because every fake listing removed is a real position reclaimed for legitimate businesses, including yours.
06Monthly Insights Reporting
A monthly report built on the metrics that reflect actual demand: calls, direction requests, website clicks, and search impressions, reported per location and trended against previous periods. You see what moved, what we did, and what's queued next, instead of a screenshot of a dashboard with no interpretation attached.
What we measure
The metrics that mean a profile is working
Profile views are a vanity number. A searcher can view a listing and choose the one below it. The monthly report leads with the actions that indicate a customer actually chose you, and the leading indicators that predict next quarter's results.
Calls from the profile
The most direct demand signal a listing produces, tracked per location, trended month over month, and separated from website-sourced calls where call tracking allows.
Direction requests
A searcher who taps directions is usually en route. For storefronts this is the closest thing GBP offers to counting foot traffic you can attribute.
Website clicks
Traffic the profile hands to your site, useful both as a volume number and as the bridge for connecting listing activity to form fills and bookings.
Discovery vs. branded impressions
Branded searches find you by name; discovery searches ("dentist near me") are new demand. Growth in discovery impressions is the clearest sign the ranking work is compounding.
Review velocity & rating trend
New reviews per month, average rating direction, and response coverage are the leading indicators of prominence, reported before they show up as ranking movement.
Map Pack position tracking
Your position on the searches that matter, checked from points across your service area rather than one office IP, because local rank changes street by street.
